HairSim v0.3.7
Sim tech to enhance in-game experience, advance robotics, or pioneer spatial computing
Features
All interactions happen in real-time on consumer grade hardware, powered by the GPU.
Strands of hair can be selected and pulled into various configurations.
The world's first interactive hair simulator with a fine-tooth comb.
Strands are cuttable, producing clippings that fall to the floor. Clippings can be short or large. Clipping is possible right up to the skin.
Individual strands can take different lengths. A character that starts out with hair several meters in length could eventually go bald, and then grow it all back. Dynamic hair length enables new interaction capabilities and time-dependent change.
Shading is based on how light scatters through real human hair strands.
Various hair types are possible by modifying the light absorption and the strand shapes.
